Terms & Conditions
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT.
PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Boom Monate Summer Games Tournament (“the Event”) taking place on 14 March 2026 at Old Parks Sports Club, between 09:00 and 17:00.
By registering, attending, or participating in the Event, all team captains, players, spectators, vendors, and attendees agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Registration, attendance, or participation constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
1.2 Team captains accept these Terms on behalf of all players registered under their team.
1.3 Participation on the day of the Event confirms acceptance, whether or not the online registration form was completed.
2. Event Overview
2.1 The Event is a social football and netball tournament hosted by Boom Monate.
2.2 The Event is non-professional and community-driven.
2.3 Boom Monate reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual or team that does not comply with these Terms.
Football Terms & Conditions
3. Football Eligibility
3.1 There are no age restrictions for football participation unless otherwise communicated.
3.2 All football players must be registered online prior to the tournament.
4. Football Team Rules & Registration
4.1 A maximum of 10 players per football team is permitted.
4.2 All players must be registered before the tournament via www.boommonate.co.za.
4.3 No unregistered player may participate in any team.
4.4 A player may not represent more than one team during the Event.
4.5 Rolling substitutions are permitted in football matches.
4.6 Any team found fielding:
· an unregistered player, or
· a player registered to more than one team will be disqualified immediately with no refund.
5. Football Registration Fees

Standard registration: R1600
-
Deposit: R500 secures a team’s place

Early Bird Phase 1: R1200 (limited to 3 teams)

Early Bird Phase 2: R1400 (limited to 3 teams)

5.1 Early bird registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
5.2 Registration and payment are due by 12 March 2026.
5.3 Registration fees are refundable up until 12 March 2026. After this date, all registration fees are non-refundable.
Netball Terms & Conditions
6. Netball Eligibility & Age Verification
​6.1 Netball participation is strictly limited to players aged 18 years and over.
6.2 All netball players must bring valid identification (ID) to the Event.
6.3 In the event of an age-related dispute, the team captain must produce the player’s ID upon request.
6.4 Failure to produce valid ID will result in team disqualification with no refund.
6.5 Team captains are fully responsible for ensuring player eligibility.
7. Netball Team Rules & Registration
​7.1 A maximum of 12 players per netball team is permitted.
7.2 All players must be registered before the tournament via www.boommonate.co.za.
7.3 No unregistered player may participate.
7.4 A player may not represent more than one team during the Event.
7.5 Rolling substitutions are permitted in netball matches.
7.6 Any breach of this section will result in immediate disqualification
with no refund.
8. Netball Registration Fees

Early Bird: R900 (limited to 4 teams)

Deposit: R500 secures a team’s place

8.1 Early bird registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
8.2 Registration and payment are due by 12 March 2026.
8.3 Registration fees are refundable up until 12 March 2026. After this date, all registration fees are non-refundable.
General Terms & Conditions
9. Payments & Registration Deadlines
9.1 Payments & Registration Cut-Off
9.1.1 All teams must be fully registered and fully paid before the tournament registration cut-off, which is 12 March 2026.​

9.1.2 Late Registration Accommodation
Teams that are concerned they may not meet the registration and payment cut-off date are encouraged to:
-
Communicate directly with the Boom Monate team in advance

Do so timeously, before the cut-off date
-
Note that any accommodation is entirely at Boom Monate’s discretion
-
Understand that any accommodation granted does not guarantee fixture delays, schedule changes, or participation

9.2 On-the-Day Registration​​
9.2.1 All teams will be required to confirm team attendance and player registrations for verification purposes on the day of the tournament (14 March 2026) by no later than 09:00am.​
​
9.2.2 On-the-day registration is strictly for administrative verification purposes only and does not replace the requirement for full pre-registration and payment.
9.2.3 Fixtures will not be delayed for late / incomplete
player pre-registrations.
10. Refund Policy
​10.1 Teams may cancel their participation up until 12 March 2026 at 00:00.
10.2 Refunds will be processed within 5 business working days, excluding public holidays.
10.3 No refunds will be issued for:

Non-attendance
-
Disqualification
-
Late arrival
-
Eligibility violations
-
Misconduct
11. Tournament Format & Scheduling
11.1 Match formats, durations, group structures, and schedules may be adjusted due to:
-
Weather conditions
-
Safety concerns
-
Operational requirements
-
Team no-shows
11.2 All organiser decisions are final and not grounds for refunds.
12. Match Walkovers & Forfeits
12.1 Matches start strictly on time.
12.2 Late teams may be awarded walkovers.
12.3 Missed matches will not be rescheduled.
13. Conduct, Behaviour & Discipline
13.1 Boom Monate enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding:

Violence or dangerous play
-
Abuse or harassment
-
Discrimination or hate speech · Property damage
-
Disruptive or unsafe behaviour

13.2 Consequences may include::
-
Player removal
-
Team disqualification
-
Spectator removal
-
Bans from future Boom Monate events
-
No refunds under any circumstances
14. Safety, Risk & Indemnity
14.1 Attendance and participation are entirely at one’s own risk.

14.2 Boom Monate, Old Parks Sports Club, partners, and affiliates accept no liability for:

Injuries
-
Accidents
-
Medical emergencies
-
Loss or theft
-
Property damage
​
14.3 Boom Monate will not be liable for any medical or related expenses.
15. Media, Photography & Marketing
15.1 All attendees grant Boom Monate unrestricted rights to photographs and videos captured at the Event.
15.2 Content may be used for marketing, promotional, and future event purposes without compensation.
16. Prizes & Awards
16.1 Prizes will be awarded only as officially communicated by Boom Monate.

16.2 In the unlikely event that there are insufficient participating teams, or where multiple teams withdraw from the tournament at short notice, Boom Monate reserves the right to adjust prize awards accordingly.
16.3 Any adjustment to prize awards will be clearly communicated to all affected teams during the pre-match registration window on the day of the Event.
16.4 Disqualified teams forfeit all prizes.
16.5 Cash prizes will be paid via EFT within 2 business working days after the Event.
17. Rescheduling & Postponement
17.1 The Event may be postponed, delayed, or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, including severe weather, safety concerns, or venue-related issues.
17.2 If the Event is rescheduled, teams unable to attend the new date will receive a refund of their registration fee within 5 business working days.
17.3 If the Event is postponed or cancelled on the day, after teams have completed the attendance and check-in pre-registration (14 March 2026, 09:30 am), all teams that arrived at the venue and confirmed their attendance during this pre-tournament registration period will be eligible for a refund of their registration and/or deposit fees.
17.4 Teams that DID NOT arrive to confirm attendance during the pre-tournament registration period (14 March 2026, 09:30am) will be treated as non-attendance, and no refunds will be issued.
18. Venue Rules
18.1 All attendees must comply with Old Parks Sports Club rules.
18.2 Spectators may bring chairs.
18.3 Cooler boxes are not permitted.
18.4 External food is not permitted. Food will be sold at the venue.
18.5 Children and pets must be supervised at all times.
18.6 Vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.
19. Privacy & Data Protection
19.1 Personal information is collected solely for tournament administration and Boom Monate marketing purposes.
19.2 Personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties.
19.3 Boom Monate complies with South Africa’s POPIA regulations.
